Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. Emergency Landing at Santa Monica Airport when Landing Gear Failed


What: twin-engine Beechcraft King air (BEECH 100) en route from San Jose International Airport at 5:27 p.m. to Santa Monica Airport of 6:29 p.m.
Where: Santa Monica CA
When: 01/07/2009
Who: Pilot and passenger were uninjured.
Why: On landing, the right main landing gear collapsed. The fuselage skidded across the runway before grinding to a stop.
