The black box flight recorder from the DC-9 plane has been recovered. The crash site lies at the end of the runway where the pilot had tried to take off but was blocked by a trail of lava from a volcanic eruption in 2002. Potholes and broken tarmac are part of the problem on the runway.
A probe into the crash has been ordered.
The Hewa Bora Airlines chief said publicly that "It needed to reach 126 knots to take off. The pilot braked, but the runway was wet, the aircraft skidded and he lost control." Information is conflicting as to whether or not emergency doors were opened.

I like informative, impersonal, and news-like blogs. Yours is informative, but scary and grievous as well.
But we really cannot hide our faces from the sad realities. We learn from every accident as we should too so that the same doesn't happen again.
In that sense, your blog is serving a noble cause.
