At times, there may be error but we do try to use our best judgement at the time of posting, and will be glad to amend any details which are proved incorrect. Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. Ryanair Emergency Landing




What: Ryanair Boeing 737 FR9336 en route from Bristol, England, to Gerona, Spain
Where: Emergency landing at Limoges International Airport in western France
When: Evening of August 25 11.30pm Monday (0730 AEST Tuesday)
Who: French officials announced that 26 people have been hospitalized--168 passengers and 7 crew were on board. The airline said that 16 passengers together with five accompanying family members went to the hospital for ear problems.
Why: Inflight depressurisation incident (The flight lost 16,400 feet in five minutes. ) Passengers said "there was a loud sound as the cabin pressure dropped and a sudden drop in temperature and a rush of cold air” as the plane plummeted. Passengers complained that oxygen masks failed.
