Kuskokwim River Crash





What: Commercial Frontier Flying Service Piper Navaho lifted off from the village of Aniak in Western Alaska
Where: Kuskokwim River Alaska, on a gravel bar
When: Monday August 4 2008
Who: Eight people on board. Minor injuries were treated at the Aniak clinic.
Why: The left engine of the eight-seat plane sent out smoke and died forcing the pilot to land right after liftoff. The nose gear and a wing suffered “substantial damage
