Easyjet Emergency Landing in Nice France

Why: An electrical problem caused smoke in the cockpit. A stewardess was taken to hospital for tests after suffering breathing problems and another crew member was ill.

American Airlines Emergency Landing

Who: The 127 passengers and five crew
Why: Smoke in the cockpit caused the pilot to report an emergency and have a safe landing in Little Rock National Airport.

The light haze of smoke dissipated after the pilot shut down the cockpit's electrical system and depressurized the plane's cabin and depressurized. The plane has been taken out of circulation. Passengers were placed on a second plane but ironically, this plane was one of 56 that had to to be diverted because of storms.
