We make a special effort here to record the facts as we receive them. At times, there may be error but we do try to use our best judgement at the time of posting, and will be glad to amend any details which are proved incorrect. Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. Delta Passengers Stranded at LAX after Emergency Landing





What: Delta flight 1767 from LAX to Kona
Where: LAX
When: Friday, 01 Aug 2008
Who: 200 passengers, including a basketball team
Why:plane began shaking almost immediately after takeoff and continued for about 20 minutes.

Update
The plane landed safely. There were no injuries. However, no other planes were available to get the passengers to Hawaii, possibly until Sunday, including 20 high school kids that had raised money to get to Hawaii to participate in an international basketball tournament to begin on Saturday, and all passengers were stranded
