Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. 1946 ER Coupe Crashes on Florida Ranch




What: 1946 ER Coupe fixed wing single-engine plane registered to Robert E. Hudson of Venice had taken off from a private ranch
Where: DeSoto County. near Sarasota.
When: Wednesday
Who: 72-year-old Robert Hudson pilot dead in the crash.
Why: Hudson was headed home to Venice, about 40 miles away, when he apparently hit a tree and crashed on the nearby ranch property.
