A Note to Our Readers

Dear Readers,
We make a special effort here to record the facts as we receive them. At times, there may be error but we do try to use our best judgement at the time of posting, and will be glad to amend any details which are proved incorrect. Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. Basketball Players Flying Late

What: ExpressJet Flight 152 en route to Tampa
Where: 41-passenger plane
When: Jan 6 2008 - ten minutes into the flight at 4:15 p.m.
Who: Passengers included Louisville's basketball team
Why: The flight had the equivalent of a "check engine" light go off in the instrument panel. The Louisville's basketball team which was on board deplaned safely after an emergency landing. The passengers were rescheduled for transportation later Tuesday for its Wednesday game; the rescheduled flight took off from Standiford Field at about 9:05 p.m. scheduled to arrive in Tampa after 11 p.m.
