At times, there may be error but we do try to use our best judgement at the time of posting, and will be glad to amend any details which are proved incorrect. Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. NC Dog in Emergency Landing


What: single-engine Cessna 210 registered to a company called Centurion in New Bern en route to New Bern
Where: emergency landing at Sanford-Lee County Regional Airport.t in Sanford, North Carolina
When: 12/5/2008
Who: Pilot Clint Bryan, and dog Ripley
Why: After the landing gear failed, the pilot circled the airport for about three hours to burn off most of his fuel. He landed on the belly of his plane. The dog was first out of the plane.
