Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. What: single-engine Piper Cherokee
Where: landing at Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport
When: Thursday 5 p.m.
Who: The pilot was the only one aboard
Why: Prior to requesting clearance, the pilot called air traffic control reporting engine trouble.
