Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. What: American Airlines regional jet en route from Baton Rouge to Dallas
Where: Alexandria International Airport, Alexandria Louisiana
When: Friday 5:40 p.m.
Who: 47 people
Why: Emergency landing called for when smoke was detected in the cockpit. No injuries.
