Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. Oregon Crash Kills 2 in Plane, 3 in Vacation House




What: Four-seat Cessna owned by a Aviation Aventures in Seaside, flying to Klamath Falls from the Seaside Municipal Airport
Where: a beach house along the Oregon coast, Gearhart, Oregon
When: Monday
Who: Jason Ketcheson, the pilot, and Frank Toohey, his passenger died in the crash.
Why: The plane was flying low in fog, circled, revved its engine and crashed. The crash and explosions leveled a beach house along the Oregon coast. In the beach house, 8-year-old Grace Masoudi, 12-year-old Hesam Masoudi and 10-year-old Julia Reimann were killed. Toohey and Ketcheson in the plane were killed in the explosion. Three people inside managed to escape.
