At times, there may be error but we do try to use our best judgement at the time of posting, and will be glad to amend any details which are proved incorrect. Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. Glendale Pilot Avoids Loop 101




What: Small plane on the way to Mesa from the Glendale airport
Where: emergency landing in the West Valley.
When: Saturday just before 7 pm
Who: The pilot was uninjured. No one else was on board.
Why: . The plane had a mechanical malfunction and started losing power. The plane landed in an empty field about a 100 yards from the Loop 101 near the University of Phoenix Stadium and broke through a fence near Glendale Airport and ended up in a gully.
