We make a special effort here to record the facts as we receive them. At times, there may be error but we do try to use our best judgement at the time of posting, and will be glad to amend any details which are proved incorrect. Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. Cessna Crashes in Albuquerque




What: Cessna 172 airplane en route from Tucson to Illinois
Where: Double Eagle Airport Albuquerque
When: 9:30 Thursday morning
Who: Two 56-year-old men suffered injuries: one a head injury was transported by helicopter to University of New Mexico Hospital; the second man went by ambulance to the hospital. Identified as Marty Nedza and Lawrence Muldon. Both are in stable condition. (The plane is not in that good a condition.)
Why: On landing to refuel, the plane hit one of the lead-in lights and came to rest on its nose with its tail in the air.
