At times, there may be error but we do try to use our best judgement at the time of posting, and will be glad to amend any details which are proved incorrect. Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. Airbus Emergency Landing at Faro airport




What: British airline BMI Airbus A321 en route from the East Midlands to Tenerif
Where: emergency landing at Faro airport
When: 11h00 Saturday morning
Who: 197 passengers. No injuries
Why: BMI said "a light was detected in the cockpit that could indicate a problem with one of the engines. It wasn’t anything serious but it was decided to land at the nearest airport to see what was happening."
