Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. UK Crash Landing




What: £40,000 two-seater Ikarus C42 FB
Where: UK: Runway at Pine Trees Farm, off Hall Lane near Bitteswell.
When: 2.30pm
Who: pilot Gordon Higgins
Why: Difficulty in maintaining an accurate approach speed in the very gusty conditions. Mr Higgins attempted to take-off again to avoid a collision but the aircraft was unable to clear a tall hedge
