Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. Vegas Crash



What: single-engine Piper Cherokee en route from the North Las Vegas airport to Byron, Calif.
Where: Las Vegas Nevada
When: 2:45 p.m Saturday
Who: 4 people. Four Oakley residents, including a candidate for Contra Costa County supervisor (Erik Nunn and wife) and their neighbors Michele and Craig Wilson.
Why: Struck power lines.under investigation by the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board. Subsequent wildfire burns Spring Mountain Recreation Area
