At times, there may be error but we do try to use our best judgement at the time of posting, and will be glad to amend any details which are proved incorrect. Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. Emergency Landing: Meadow's Field




What: Beechcraft King Air 200 Plane, a small private plane (Super King Air 8200)
Where: Meadow's Field near Seventh Standard Rd. in Oildale.
When: after after 10 pm Wednesday morning or on Thursday (Conflicting reports)
Who: 5 people on board, no injuries
Why: insufficient hydraulics to operate gears; landing gear collapsed on landing and the plane slid in on its belly.
