At times, there may be error but we do try to use our best judgement at the time of posting, and will be glad to amend any details which are proved incorrect. Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. Sedona Crash Kills Two


What: single-engine Piper Cherokee registered to a Texas company.
Where: a few miles from the Sedona Airport.
When: Thursday afternoon about 4 p.m.
Who: 3 aboard. Pilot Rockney Herring was able to exit the plane and was then airlifted to Flagstaff Medical Center; brothers Michael Johnson and Tommy Johnson died.
Why: The pilot said he did not know why the plane had lost power.
