At times, there may be error but we do try to use our best judgement at the time of posting, and will be glad to amend any details which are proved incorrect. Furthermore, even though we do not here discuss the human cost, we realize that losing anyone in an air accident is insurmountable tragedy to individuals, families and communities. We do extend our heartfelt sympathy to those whose loss we record here. Louisiana Crash with Minor injuries UPDATE




What: Single-engine Piper PA-28 taking off from Abbeville Regional Airport
Where: Crashing in Vermilion Parish, in a sugarcane field off Chiasson Road, just south of La. 14.
When: 8:30 p.m. Thursday
Who: pilot and two passengers received minor to moderate injuries and were transported by Acadian Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Why: Unknown reasons. Under investigation.

Update
Officials say the official cause was engine failure , however it will take approximately six months before the NTSB releases the probable cause of the accident.
