The Courier journal article about Shenk states his flight originated in Colorado and he was severely burned. We thank our readers for keeping us on target.
These are two different crashes near the same airport, Bowman Field in Kentucky. The crash featured in the AP video says there was no fire and the plane does not look burned. Conversely, the other Cessna plane crash, involving the pilot Richard Shenk, definitely caught fire and Mr. Shenk was severely burnt.
